CLOSE GAME BETWEEN THE GUELPH SILVERCREEKS AND THE WATERLOO TIGERS ENDS IN A TIE

Guelph - The Guelph Silvercreeks and Waterloo Tigers tied 8-8 on Wednesday evening at David E. Hastings Stadium.
The Tigers got on the board in the first inning after a ground out, scored one run.
Waterloo added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after a single to center field, a walk, a fielder's choice, and a fly out, each scoring one run.
The Tigers added another run in the third after Guelph committed an error.
Guelph tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a single by Caleb McArthur, a hit by a pitch, and an error.
A single gave Waterloo the lead, 8-7, in the top of the seventh.
Ryan Cutten tripled to center field, which helped Guelph tie the game at eight in the bottom of the seventh.
Ryan Lieng started the game for the Silvercreeks. The starter surrendered three hits and one run over one inning, striking out one and walking one.
Guelph amassed 10 hits in the game. Brendan Boys, Jackson Heimbecker, and Cutten each collected two hits for the Silvercreeks. Cutten went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in.
Guelph's next league game will be Wednesday June 17, when they face the Cambridge Cubs at Hastings Stadium. Game time is 7:30pm.
