SILVERCREEKS BOUNCE BACK VS LONDON

The Guelph Silvercreeks ousted the London Badgers 8-4 on Thursday at Labatt Park in London.
Guelph were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored one run.
Noah Williams doubled on the seventh pitch of the at-bat, which helped London Badgers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
The Silvercreeks took the lead, 4-1, in the top of the second thanks to singles by Ryan Cutten, and Jackson Groves.
Guelph extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Owen Sartor and Tyler Williams.
Matthew Cutten began the game for the Guelph Silvercreeks. They gave up five hits and four runs (two earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. Blake Connors stepped on the hill first for London Badgers. The starting pitcher allowed 10 hits and seven runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking four. Jackson Markwood, Judah McArthur, and Liam Karn each came on in relief for Guelph and shutdown the Badgers offence.
Guelph tallied 14 hits in the game. Williams, the Creeks number nine hitter, led the team with three hits in five at-bats. Cutten led Guelph with three runs batted in. The left fielder went 2-for-6 on the day. Quinn Gammage, Alex Camilo, and Groves each collected multiple hits for Guelph. Aidan Edmunds paced the Silvercreeks with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Guelph also turned two double plays in the game.
Next up for the Guelph Silvercreeks is a game against London Badgers on Friday night in Guelph. Game time is 7:30 at Hastings Stadium.
