OWEN SARTOR WITH 3 HITS LEADS THE SILVERCREEKS OVER THE CAMBRIDGE CUBS

Owen Sartor collected three hits in four at bats, as Guelph Silvercreeks defeated the Cambridge Cubs 11-1 on Wednesday at David E. Hastings Stadium. Sartor doubled in the seventh inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
The bottom of the lineup was strong for Guelph Silvercreeks. Tyler Williams, Nicholas Killingbeck, and Sartor combined for six of the team's 12 hits in their victory. They scored six runs and drove in five.
Guelph opened the scoring in the third after Alex Camilo singled, scoring one run.
The Silvercreeks committed an error, which helped Cambridge Cubs tie the game at one in the top of the fourth.
Guelph took the lead, 7-1, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to singles by Killingbeck, Williams, Chase Williams, and Jackson Groves.
Ethan Rampersad earned the win for the Guelph Silvercreeks. They surrendered three hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Nash Hodge took the loss for 22u Cambridge Cubs Over 18. They went three and one-third innings, allowing five runs on four hits, striking out one and walking four. Judah McArthur pitched two innings of shutout ball for Guelph in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
Guelph Silvercreeks collected 12 hits in the game. Williams, Killingbeck, and Williams each drove in two runs for Guelph. Quinn Gammage collected two hits for the Silvercreeks in four at bats. Guelph Silvercreeks stole four bases in the game.
Guelph will travel to Cambridge for their next game on Thursday night.
