Unfortunately as everyone now knows, the 2020 Guelph Silvercreeks season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The team and league felt that we had to do what was in the best interest of public health and safety so we could welcome Silvercreeks baseball back to Hastings Stadium in the future.

We want to thank our fans, players and players families for their patience and understanding. We encourage everyone to continue to stay safe and follow public health guidelines so we can come together and cheer on the Creeks for the 2021 season.

These are unprecedented times for not only our country but our organization as well, as this is the first time since 2011 that we’ve had a summer without Silvercreeks Baseball being played.  We will now begin planning for the 2021 season with an exciting new announcement.

While it is usually around this time of year that we say goodbye and thank our graduating senior players, for the first time in our teams history we will not do so.  At a special meeting at the end of August, The Ontario Baseball Association has announced that 21U baseball will now be 22U for a trial period of three years. After the three years it plans on reverting back to 21U unless otherwise ratified.

This therefore allows our senior players who would’ve graduated this year to play one final year on our 2021 team.

This opens up for some exciting possibilities for the 2021 season and we look forward to fielding one of the best Silvercreeks teams in a long long while.

Keep checking our website and our Twitter page throughout the off-season as we will be making more announcements and giving more updates as to when we will be fully operational once again.

Until then stay safe and see you on the field in 2021.
